In the 18th and 19th century, many forms of long chains were fashioned. This is one sensuous chain made up of the marvel of metals, Pinchbeck (see our reference section, link in footer under "Glossary of Terms"? for a definition).
The color is a very alluring antique soft gold with hints of rose. The links are divine in a double oval with a textured horizontal bar and connected by four more ovals.
It measures a full 55.5 inches long with the versatility of wearing long (if you dare), wrapped once, or even twice. The clasp is a barrel shape embellished with black, royal blue, and white enamel with flowers and geometric designs.
Every bit of this smashing necklace is worked, chased and refined. It has considerable weight and feels luscious on. You can of course wear it very long, or wrap it up to three times around the neck.
